  1. SITUATION:  The takeout person got your order wrong, and after picking your food up you drove all the way home to discover the issue.  You are furious.
    • Weak Apology:  Over the phone - "My fault.  It won't happen again."
  2. SITUATION: Your closest friend told your health private information to all of your friends.  Unacceptable.
    • Weak Apology:  "You are really upset!  It wasn't me though...I would never betray your trust as a friend, now or ever."
  3. SITUATION: Your partner has been secretly talking to their ex.  That's against your agreed upon relational rules.
    • Weak Apology: "Listen, I can understand that you are jealous and upset.  Let me buy you something to make up for it."
  4. SITUATION: You arrive at work to learn your partner on a project took all the credit for its success with your boss.
