Consider you work as a manager at King's Coffee shop in Sydney CBD. As a manager, you have all responsibilities starting from planning, operating, budgeting, managing staff and their performances etc of the business. The business has total 8 staff members who are in full time and part time and casuals. They work in morning and evening shifts. In recent times, your business has shown a slowdown, lack of competitiveness and negative growth, so the owner has asked you to review the business strategy. After analyzing the Shop's past performance, it has been revealed that you need revised strategies to handle the current situation. The new strategies you identified include installation of new coffee making equipment, new POS software, and quality procurement of materials, improved advertising and sales, staff training and redesign the menu. The team members have been divided on change strategy and are worried that it will mean they could see additional work pressure or losing their shifts. In response to that, you are in the process of developing a change management plan and obtain staff support. Now, address the following task questions, (you are free to make realistic assumptions where necessary). Please attempt all. 1. Undertake a cost benefit analysis (compare cost factors against respective benefits) for the proposed change strategy. 2. What resources are required for this project? Identify barriers to change in the above case. 3. Develop a risk assessment plan (probable risks, impact, likelihood and way to mitigate the risk on table format). 4. Design a Change Management Project Plan using the following template - What you will do Who are involved How / strategy Timeline (when)

5. What approvals you will need and from whom? Why approvals are necessary? Decide the reporting protocol for the change project.

6. You need to develop strategies to communicate (or educate) the changes that you would like to bring into your business. Use appropriate education or communication plan to incorporate the changes into practice. Take necessary advice or consultation from stakeholders.
