Some of the biggest challenges in today's digital world are the increasing amount of misinformation (e.g., fake news), the use of minors for profit or mere attention or entertainment, unwanted surveillance of individuals by government entities and corporations or simply by other people, unequal access to Internet technologies, the abuse of animals in scenes of cruelty or ridicule, and the recurrent digital user's lack of responsibility for the environment, among many others.

In the Western world, most of us have been brought up under Judeo-Christian values, but there are many other philosophical approaches that can be appealed to in order to complement or even replace Judeo-Christian principles.
