Big Build is a large developer who specialise in constructing public buildings. They are contracted to construct an extension to Little Devil's school, which has over one hundred children from the ages of 4 to 12. The extension is constructed during term when the children will be attending school.

During the built, the headmaster of the school, Mr. Jones, has had to discuss the subject of inadequate fencing of the site and the issue of Big Build's employees speeding in and out of the site across the school yard.

After the workers continue to speed though the yard Mr. Jones enters the back of the construction site via a small opening in the site fence. As he makes his way to the site office, he inadvertently falls into an open, unmarked trench, cutting his arm and his head.
