Conventions are highly profitable endeavors. Orlando, New York, and Chicago generate great wealth by creating and promoting their convention centers. To better understand this segment of the hospitality industry, research the economic impact of conventions on the United States economy, and then offer a brief review as to what makes one convention center/area different from another (what is competitive advantage), and how best a convention center can position itself to increase its convention business/attendance in an increasingly competitive field throughout the country.
