Conveyor: Momentary activation of PB2 (NO) will latch conveyor motor, M1. This conveyor is moving a sequence of objects along the conveyor. As an object moves along the conveyor belt, it blocks a cross-beam into photo-sensor PS1 (NC); as the object passes through the cross-beam, PS1 changes from 1 to 0 and then back to to 1 again after the object has past through the beam. This conveyor has three cross-beams into photo-sensors, PS1, PS2 (above PS1), and PS3 (above PS2). If an object blocks only PS1, the object is too short or if the object blocks all 3 photo sensors, it is too tall. If only PS1 and PS2 are blocked, the height of the object is acceptable. If the object is acceptable, GL (green light ) goes ON and stays ON, Otherwise, RL (red light) goes ON and stays ON. Farther along the conveyor, after an object has passed through the photo-sensors, there is a limit switch, LS1 (NO). When an object triggers LS1, the next object in line has not yet blocked any of the photo-sensors. When an acceptable object triggers LS1, GL goes OFF, the process is reset for the next object in line , and the conveyor continues to move the acceptable object along. When an object that is too short or too tall triggers LS1, RL goes OFF, and the conveyor stops Momentary activation of PB3 (NO) will restart the conveyor and reset the process for the next object in line. Develop a ladder logic program to solve this problem.
