Cool Stu$$ is a manufacturer that wants to expand its business intelligence infrastructure. "Cool Stu" has a series of very large and critical transaction databases that it uses for daily operations $($relational database management systems$)$ such as on sta, customers, sales and so on$.$ The business has typically used its operational relational databases to answer queries and perform basic analyses. However, as the business has grown and its databases have grown, relying on querying its operational databases has become problematic and provides limited insights. This is a problem for the business and it increasingly nds that it needs business intelligence to help with its decision making. The manager wants to create a new business intelligence infrastructure to support decision making. In addition to its databases growing, the rm also has also expanded functions within the business which now have specic data needs such as on clients, trends on innovation, products and so on$.$ Each of these functions needs to be able to perform its own business intelligence. At the same time, there is a need for senior managers to have a single source of truth for the enterprise.
