Transurban also designs and builds new roads as well as researching new vehicle and road safety technology.

Transurban is also a technology company.Not only do they design roads, they also research and develop innovative tolling and transport technology.As an industry leader, they are expected to set high standards for performance on social and environmental issues.Transurban invests to create social inclusion and manage environmental impacts. For example, they build parks and bike paths, create new community facilities, and plant trees for wildlife habitats - helping people connect with each other and their neighbourhoods.There focus is on social investment efforts and partnerships to drive inclusion and diversity.

Transurban's three investment areas

Safe and accessible transport - activities that promote safe driving, prevent injury on the roads, and ensure people can connect, through transport, with work, family and the wider community.

Local communities - invest in local communities (communities located directly along our road network) by supporting causes that are important to residents and by partnering with organisations that help mitigate the impact of large infrastructure projects on the environment.
