You are a police officer responding to a call of a disturbance in a shopping mall. Upon arrival you are met by mall security guard, Jane Star.

She tells you that she has received a complaint about a male sitting on one of the public benches. He keeps staring at everyone who passes. The store owners are complaining that he is bad for business. Star walks with you to the person's location. She points to the male in question, later identified as Rob Allan, sitting on a bench in front of a ladies' clothing store. You speak to Mr. Allan.

He tells you that he is just sitting on the bench talking to his friend and "checking out the ladies." He continues: "If you sit right here, you can see into the back changing area. Sometimes ladies come out wearing only their underwear! Look, Robert, there's one now!" It appears as if he is speaking to an unseen person to his right.

You ask, "Who is Robert?" Allan replies: "He is my friend, my best friend."

He then introduces you to Robert: "Robert, this is ... Sorry I didn't get your name." You tell him that you are Constable Steeves. He continues: "Robert, this is Constable Steeves. Constable Steeves, this is my best friend, Robert."

He then begins a conversation with his unseen friend. The conversation focuses on where they should go next to see some ladies.

Scenario #2

You are a police officer responding to a call from Josephine Dane. She tells you that she is concerned that her son, Joe Dane18 years oldis having some mental health issues. He does not have a history of mental illness.

Joe is in his room. Mrs. Dane tells you that she has heard Joe talking to himself for the past 45 minutes. He appears to be having a conversation. The door to his room is locked.

You knock on the door to Joe's room. You tell him that you are a police officer.

He shouts, "Go away!"

Mrs. Dane tells you that he is alone in the room.

ou ask Joe if you can come in to speak with him.

He replies, "If you must. Be careful not to step on the flowers."

You open the door. Joe is sitting on his bed. He is staring at the wall.

He shouts, "Be careful, you almost stepped on a rabbit!"

Mrs. Dane begins to cry.

Joe looks at her and says, "Why are you crying? Everything is great! Your tears are blue! That's the colour tears should be!"

Joe looks at you and begins to laugh, "You have a funny face. You look like the Joker! Look out! Lucy almost hit your head! Lucy is a vulture. She always finds me! You must be careful, her claws are sharp. She caught a rabbit last time I was here!"

You ask Joe if everything is all right.

He replies, "Who is this Joe? I am Madd Haberdasher. I live in this forest!"

Mrs. Dane continues to cry, "My poor little boy! He has lost his mind! It is my fault for protecting him from the world!"

Joe looks at you and says, "Why is the Queen crying? Her tears burn holes in the grass! Please ask her to stop!"

You ask Joe if he is angry with the Queen.

He replies, "I could never be angry with the Queen! She is my mother! She brings life to the world! I worship the Queen!"

You ask Joe how often he comes to the forest.

He replies, "I live in the forest! Sometimes I visit other places. Lucy is from the other place. She follows me everywhere I go. I try to hide. Lucy always finds me, but here in the forest I have help. Life is good here!"

You ask Joe how he got to the forest.

He replies, "Just like you did! You just lick the stamps and come in through the door!"

You ask Joe if he comes out of the forest very often.

He replies, "I try to stay in the forest. I don't like the other place! It is not peaceful like the forest; too many vultures!"

Mrs. Dane asks you to help her son.

Joe is becoming agitated.

He says, "I wish these vultures would leave me alone! Everywhere I go they follow me! They even find me in the forest! All their taunting, humiliation, constantly after me! I need to escape!"

You ask Joe to tell you more about the "vultures."

He replies, "You must know them! Didn't you come to the forest to escape them? The Queen told me that if I ignore them, they will go away. But they have been following me for a long time.

They always humiliate me! They won't stop! I can't escape in the forest anymore! I don't know what to do!"

He replies, "No matter where I go, they find me! Maybe they are in my head. Yes, that's it! They are in my head! If I take my head off, they will go away! You have a weapon on your belt. Will you please take my head off?"

He replies, "It won't hurt! If you take my head off, the vultures will go away! I will be all right! If you won't help me, the Queen will. She always helps me."
