Mudyt leijeck Fall 2018 Group Project- Keurig and Starbucks You will be performing an analysis on the following companies: Keurig Green Mountain (previously known as Green Mountain Coffee Roasters until March 2014), Starbucks, and DAVIDsTEA. To complete the project you will be reviewing student case materials, SEC filings, and other news/information sources. You are required to produce one typed word document addressing each of the requirements outlined below. Your document should list all group member's names on it. Keurig Green Mountain started as a retail coffee shop chain and transformed into a coffee roaster and wholesaler of packaged coffee. Later, through its acquisition of Keurig, the development and marketing of the single-cup brewing system and K-cups became the dominant part of the business. Starbucks and other retail coffee/tea shops provide a source of competition for Greern Mountain. When providing numerical calculations make sure that it is clear whether your figure is just that number, or it is that number in millions or in thousands. Full credit will only be earned for the appropriate answers. Use normal rounding rules and round percentages to one decimal place and all other figures to two decimal places. Green Mountain has a fiscal year that ends at the end of September, so make sure that you understand what that means when pulling information from the SEC filings. For example- Quarter 1 for 2009 is for the period ending 12/27/2008 and Q2 for 2009 is for the period ending 3/28/2009 ***When looking up financial information on the SEC filings - use the originally reported numbers NOT the restated figures (restatements occurred for some time periods covered in this assignment). Use the 8-K for Q4 data-look for Exhibit 99.1 and be sure to use the 13/14 weeks ended column NOT the 52 weeks column.* Mudyt leijeck Fall 2018 Group Project- Keurig and Starbucks You will be performing an analysis on the following companies: Keurig Green Mountain (previously known as Green Mountain Coffee Roasters until March 2014), Starbucks, and DAVIDsTEA.
