In this part every Team has to create a Document about the Database
I. What the Document should do (contain):
1. Describes the purpose of the Database 2. Describes the organization of Database
- Describes Tables and Relationships between them
- Describes Relationship types (one to one; one to many; etc.) - Describes Primary and Foreign keys
3. Describes the Tables that the Database contains
- Describes Properties of each Table
- Describes Primary and Foreign keys for each table
- Describes Fields in the Table and what they are doing
4. Describes Fields Properties:
- Describe the Field Properties, Format and Format Mask for each Field in the first Table of your Database.
II. How the document should be organized:
1. Start with a paragraph that is describing the purpose of your Database. What your Database is intended to do and what kind of Customer Data Organization problem it solves
2. Show a screenshot of your Database structure as follows: - Click the Design tab to show the Database structure
- Move and expand (by dragging the corners) the tables so all the Table Fields be visible and all of the Relations connections are clear:
- Make a Screenshot of the Structure of the DB
- Include the Screenshot in your Document and proceed with the
description of the Database;
- Do the same for the Tables and the Fields as it is requested in I.
(To access the Field properties click the Database Tools tab)
III. Submission
1. What have to be submitted:
- One submission of the DB Documentation in PDF format.
- You could create your Document in Word or in PowerPoint and just
before the submission to convert it to PDF
- The document has to contain all points described in paragraph I.
Include all the appropriate screenshots and write down the descriptions
of the Database parts that they are showing.
2. Deadline:
- Submit the PDF before 23:30 on February 04 in the dedicated Submission folder in Lea
- No late submission will be accepted in any way.
