2. What is an environmental policy? There is a publication in various news portals (both printed and online), that indicate the government of Ghana has banned the importation of second hand products (a lot of which are electronic gadgets) into the country. This is expected to take effect from November 2023. It was explained that the importation is to help reduce the energy consumption in the country. This yet to be implemented policy is facing strong opposition, especially from the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA).
