Do you think the world will revert back to pre-pandemic status quo? Why? I personally think that globalization has a net positive impact in the long run, but that the effect on individual countries in the short run would be very diverse: Developed countries have more to benefit from than those trying to integrate themselves more into the system. Although things will revert back mostly to the pre-pandemic level, I believe many countries and companies will have some contingency built into their strategies: The world hasn't experienced such disruption since the end of the World War II. So, for businesses, I think there will be a renewed emphasis on domestic production and consumption both for manufacturing and tourism. That hotels in the US fared better than, say hotels in Bali, Indonesia, highlights the importance of the 'home' market and 'domestic' demand
