Copy 3 of the bill of lading and copy 3 of the invoice are filed numerically by the shipping department. Copy 2 of the bill of lading and copy 2 of the invoice are filed numerically by the shipping department. Copy 1 of the bill of lading and copy 1 of the invoice are sent to accounting where the accounting clerk updates the sales register.
