create an activity diagram to depict the process of a student looking for an internship. Students in the school of business are encouraged to acquire internships because internships have great impacts on job placement in so many different ways. To do so, the student first creates an internship list. Then, she goes through three stages before she actually applies for internships. The three stages are search for internships, prepare internship application, and secure reference letters. She can search for internships differently depending on whether the search is self-initiated or not. If it is not self-initiated, she will read the announcement from the professor that she received to find the internships she is interested in. If it is self-initiated, she will decide on her search strategies. If the search strategy is goal specific (i.e., interested in a particular type of internship or company), she will search the internship database with proper keywords. If the search strategy is browsing by time line, she will browse the internship database by the posting dates of the internships. If the search strategy is browsing based on interests, she will browse the internship database by internship categories. No matter whether the search is self-initiated or not, she will eventually have to evaluate whether she has found any internships that interest her. If she has found the internships that interest her, she will add those internship postings to her internship list. If she has not found the internships and would like to continue the search, then the search can be either self-initiated or not again; otherwise, the search process ends prematurely. If the student has found at least one internship, she can retrieve her internship list. For each internship found, she would read the internship posting. Then, she will do the following two things in no particular order. She will determine whether the internship requires references or not. If yes, she will update her internship list by marking the internship. The other thing she will do is about her resume. Depending on whether she has an existing resume already, she will either create a resume or customize the existing resume for that specific internship. If the stage prepare internship application does not find any internship needing references, she will bypass the stage secure reference letters and start applying for internships. Otherwise, she will consolidate all the internships requiring references and create a reference list, because a reference can write letters for multiple internships. For each reference, she will contact the reference. The reference will evaluate whether there is a fit between the student and the internship and then inform the student of his/her decision on whether he/she will write the reference letters. If a week passes by and the student still does not hear the response from the reference, she will prompt the reference for a response. If the reference is not able to help with the letter, she will consider whether she can find an alternative reference. If she can find an alternative reference, she will then contact the reference, following the process aforementioned. If she cannot think of an alternative reference, she needs to evaluate whether she would want to continue pursuing other internships instead; if yes, she will restart the search for internships stage again and if not, the internship process ends without success. If the reference is able to help with the letter, she will wait for reference letters to arrive. If the reference letters arrive on time, she collects the letters; otherwise, she has to decide whether she wants to prompt her reference for the letters. If she decides to continue with this reference, she will prompt the reference and then wait for the letter to arrive; otherwise, she needs to consider an alternative reference and follow the aforementioned process again. Once the stage secure reference letters is concluded, she will proceed to applying for internships, which concludes the entire process. At any given moment during the entire process, if somehow the internship opportunities are cancelled, the student will have to end the whole process prematurely
