Create Work Breakdown Structure with Swim-Lanes for the following

Alex and Jing are planning to put a chicken coop and run in their Michigan backyard. Being good project management students, they are documenting their plan with a Work Breakdown Structure. Here are the basic elements of their plan.

• Early in January, Alex will research chicken coop and run designs, including issues related to size, siting, and material costs
• By January 31, Alex will submit a building permit application and payment to his town planning board
• By March 31, Alex will check whether the building permit has been received
• If the building permit has been received, on April 1, Jing will order 12 hen chicks to be delivered on May 1; otherwise Alex will check again at the end of each subsequent month, and all other steps will be moved back accordingly
• Early in April, they will begin coop construction, which will proceed in these steps:
  • Both will clear the grass and weeds under the coop area (Saturday)
  • On the next day (Sunday) Alex will level the ground under the coop area
  • Alex will acquire foundation blocks, plywood, and lumber from Lowes (early in the following week)
  • Alex and his friend Bob will install foundation blocks, build floor, and frame walls of the coop area (Saturday and Sunday of the next weekend)
  • Alex will acquire shingles from Home Depot (sometime during the following week)
  • Alex and his friend Bob will sheath walls with plywood, build roof, and install shingles (Saturday and Sunday of the next weekend)
  • Early in the following week, Jing will acquire paint and chick rearing equipment early in the following week from Tractor Supply Company, and Alex will acquire fencing material from Lowes for the run
  • Alex and his friend Bob will Install fence posts and chicken wire for the run (Saturday of the next weekend)
  • On the next day (Sunday) Alex will Install the gate of the run and Jing will paint the chicken coop
• On May 1, Jing will pick up chicks at the post office early in the day, put them in the coop, and water and feed them
• If Bob is available, on May 2, Alex, Jing, and Bob will celebrate the completion of the chicken coop and run project; otherwise they will ask Bob when he is available to celebrate
