The Stepmother is about a woman named Elizabeth Carter who was in an abusive relationship with a man named Michael Estabeto. Michael was a powerful man in the community who took her and her then 4-year-old son in; however, Michael was married. When Elizabeth's son Jason was 15 years old, she became pregnant with Michael, but he did not want her to have the baby, he said that his wife would kill them both and wanted her to have an abortion. However, due to all the stress, she lost the baby. She wanted out of this relationship, but Michael made it hard so she met a guy named Frank that helped her and her son get out of the relationship and helped her until she got on her feet. Frank however started out good but then turned evil. He tied up the 15-year-old son to a chair and made him watch as he forced himself onto Elizabeth his mother. Due to the trauma, Jason hung himself in the closet of their home. This almost killed Elizabeth and this happening sent her into a psychotic break and she began to have personality disorders. Elizabeth begin to target black men who had been widowed with teenage sons. Elizabeth seemed to be a nice, sweet and loving woman and she always said all she ever wanted was a real family. she would lure the men in with her looks, charm and manipulative ways. if someone tried to come in between what she saw as her family she would kill them and she always wanted the teenage boys to call her mom. When they would not it would make her mad and when she got mad she would begin to yell and scream and get very angry. When she got upset she would also see Frank and would accidentally call the men Frank and the teenage boys her son Jason that died. When it seems like the child or the man was about to find her out, she would target a new man and would kill the old family by tieing up the men and beating them and then setting them on fire in the house. If Elizabeth did not get her ways she was also very aggressive and makes the men feel like they had done something wrong. She makes excuses for her action of rage and tries to calm herself down. Elizabeth also would change her name and her identity when she would meet a new man. She was also known as Zoey and Diana Valdez. she would hear voices in her head from the people she killed and the different woman that she acted like she was. She also had a pattern of putting a clock in the teenage boys rooms to wake them up early because she wanted to be sure they had breakfast together like a family on Saturday mornings. She also marries these men as well. She was in a total of about 3 relationships but killed about 8 people. Elizabeth talks to herself in the mirror as well to calm herself down and takes medication to calm herself down. She counts as well. She also would makeup stories to the men to get rid of their friends. After a while it seems like she gets a thrill out of killing people to help ease the pain of what FRank did to her and what happened to her son.
