Procedural Rules Paper

Paper responding to the following, some rules of evidence (such as the Miranda warning) are controversial and cause arguments over what would best serve the overall needs of society.

Come up with at least two of the rules of evidence that you may disagree with and provide a rationale as to why you would modify or eliminate those rules. An example would be what you may see as the purpose of the criminal justice system, protection of rights or the discovery of the truth.

Explain why some rules of evidence are controversial and cause disagreement in society. Identify at least two rules that you disagree with and provide a basis for modifying or eliminating those rules.
