Critical analysis, discussion, and referencing are very important to the quality of the assignments. Organisation of the structure with coherence, content and clarity will be underlined. The marking scheme on the assignment brief will indicate how different learning outcomes will be assessed. Data used in the assignments must be derived from reliable sources, be factual and up-to-date.  

Referencing:

Sources of all referenced statements, charts, images used, must be acknowledged using standard UWL Harvard Referencing. At the end of the assignment, all references must be listed in correct Harvard style referencing adopted by UWL.

SECTION 1 Land Surveying 

Demonstrate evidence of your practical ability and awareness of land surveying from your working practice. 

1. You must show evidence of use of at least one surveying/levelling equipment. 
2. Highlight the procedure of the surveying exercise undertaken by you (images can be included). 

Demonstrate your understanding of the surveying method you have used during survey practice. 

 

SECTION 2 Drawing tasks 

Based on your work-related projects, evidence any two examples of your drawing skills, with a summary description of the projects. 

 

These could be hand drawn or produced by using computer aided design (CAD) or software such as Sketch-up.
