However, as the book suggests, we need to create ethical organizations to support this efficient and effectiveness. We want leaders who are authentic, ethical, and it does not hurt for them to have a bit of charisma. The board of directors holds leaders accountable for a reason in that they want to be sure that the leader can position the organization for success. Leaders are servants, and they must know this upfront. If they want employees to place their trust in them, they must have what it takes to gain that trust. We all recognize that there is terrible leadership out there. However, as the book suggests, we need decisive leadership to have the best outcomes for the organization. Besides, it is about being psychologically safe, and if this does not happen, then employees will not trust the leader to guide them in the right direction. Remember, nobody knows more about group behavior than the leader because this person, in most cases, has seen it all. For this critical thinking assignment, conduct research to address the following question: What role does leadership play in organizational behavior?
