The memory is byte addressable (i.e, each byte in the memory has a memory address). How many address lines are needed for the main memory? (3 marks) c) During any period of time, the processor may communicate with one or more external devices. An external device attaches to the computer by a link to an 1/0 module. Describe the functions of an 1/0 module. (5 marks) d) At the completion of a disk transfer, the disk controller interrupts the CPU to notify it that the transfer is complete and the data ready for use.
