Customer/Client - Accounts Receivable Officer at Crackers and Co. Last night you received a Statement of Account with an overdue notice from one of your suppliers, The Biscuit Place. The statement specifies an outstanding balance of $23,399.00. However, GST was incorrectly calculated resulting in a difference in the amount reflected as due and what you are willing to pay. You're very angry and frustrated because The Biscuit Place frequently makes errors on their invoices, making accurate and on-time payment extremely difficult. You have raised the issue before but there's been no improvement. Your last email wasn't even responded to. You threaten taking your business to a competitor. Employee - Accounts Payable Officer for The Biscuit Place You receive the call from Crackers and Co. The client is very angry and frustrated. You're new to the role and the previous Accounts Payable Officer left the business suddenly without providing a handover. You had noticed there had been errors in previous invoicing but haven't had time to reconcile them or make adjustments as yet. It's only your 2" week on the job.
