Cyber Weapons Purpose: Look at a cyberweapon, the effects, and the outcomes from its use Assignment: Stuxnet was used as an offensive weapon against a Nation State. Your assignment is to look at the weapon, who was the target, what was the outcome from its use, what were the overall non- cyber effects, who developed and deployed the weapon and what were the after effects: Deliverable: A typed report, it can be either in journal format or a standard report (this means you don't put the question and answer the question you have to use paragraph with transitions. You also need to not only put down facts from other people but will have to provide your own thoughts on this issue. You paper should be from 3-5 pages single-spaced pages using reasonable margins, fonts, and font sizes. Additionally, you can have one page for references. The questions you need to answer: 1) What is Stuxnet? 2) How does it work? How does it spread? What did it damage and how? 3) Who was the target? 4) How did Stuxnet get into the target? What was the infiltration method? 5) What were the effects? What was the cost both in equipment and personnel? 6) How was it discovered? 7) Who created Stuxnet and was it ever definitively proven? How was attribution done? 8) What happened to Stuxnet and it's technology afterwards? 9) What do you think about the issues with Stuxnet, attribution to cyber weapons, and the after effects? You may discuss your thoughts with other class members but each individual should write their own paper and draw their own conclusions.
