(d) Assume that there is a satellite network system which is set with the following crucial parameters: Prames containing 3060 data bits and 40-bit header. signal propagation period from earth to satellite is 270ms, ACK frames are yet to occur on this network (i.e., they are not yet transmitted by receiver), size of NAK frames is 40 bits, error probability rate for data frames is 1% and the error rate for NAK frames is negligible. Consider that hundred frames are sent initially and there is a 50Kbps satellite channel available. Aso assume that the Timeout-Timers of every sent frames are still active. Ignore the case of ACK timer (they are not implemented in this system).
i. Determine the flow control policy which needs to be implemented on this system. Explain. [2]
ii. Compute the percentage of bandwidth that is masted on network overhead (headers and retransmissions) for the implemented protocol for this satellite network. [5]
