Data Collection Tools:

The main research collection tool being used for the study are questionnaires. "A questionnaire is a research instrument consisting of a series of questions for the purpose of gathering information from respondents. Questionnaires can be thought of as a kind of written interview" $($Mcleod$,2018).$ The questionnaire was selected as the main data collection tool due to its convenient characteristics, especially via survey monkey. The use of questionnaires also gives researchers

the flexibility needed to ensure data obtained is accurate and reflective of target population. The survey link will be shared online via social media platforms to ensure the participants are social media users. The respondents will be able to complete the questionnaire to their convenience and responses will be received automatically by the researcher.

The use of various questioning methods was incorporated into the questionnaire to ensure the data collected was objective and remained relevant to the research question. The latter questions, inclusive of the Likert scale and open ended questions, are the most critical questions on the survey. These questions will be deeper analysed to determine the impact social media has on young adults. The questionnaire was designed to gather the experiences of the respondents rather than facts. As a result of this design, there will be some level of limitations in the data collected. However, the researchers will also draw a final conclusion with data reviewed from secondary literature on the topic. A general conclusion will be attained after all data has been collected and analysed.
