Data from n = 113 hospitals are used to evaluate factors related to the risk that patients get an infection while in the hospital. The response y-variable is infection risk (InfctRisk), the percentage of patients who get an infection while hospitalized. The predictor x-variables are average length of stay (Stay), average patient age (Age), a measure of how many x-rays are done in the hospital (Xrays), and a measure of how many different services the hospital offers (Services).
