You have collected the data, run the tests, and presented the resultsnow you can sit back and think about what it means. In your DB post, answer the following questions in 350 words for the original thread and 150 words each for two replies: 1. Was there any sort of relationship between church attendance and sound doctrinal belief based on your data set? Do these results match your initial prediction from Discussion Board Forum 1, or are they different? 2. How generalizable do you think your results are? 3. Do the results reflect the statements made by Quarles (2011) in the excerpt you read earlier (of little relationship between the variables), or do they demonstrate something different? 4. Write about at least 1 implication these results could have for pastors, Sunday school teachers, and other church leaders. Submit your thread by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday. Submit your replies by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Friday. A college in Louisiana gave college freshmen a test to see if they understood the doctrines of the Christian faith such as humanity's lost condition, Jesus' identity as God, and having faith in Jesus for salvation. The test is called BASE (Belief Assessment of Spiritual Essentials) it is fairly new, and has been in existence for three years, and in this length of it has been given to freshman. The study revealed that majority of the freshman believed that there is no need for a Savior. They feel that if they are good people toward others, then there is no need for God. A less large portion of freshmen couldn't give a definition of new birth. This could explain why some people think they a Savior won't be beneficial in their lives. The feel that all they must do is die and God will correct all their sin past sins and mistakes. 54% of freshman students feel that they don't have to have faith for salvation, believing that personality will get you them into the gate of heaven, rather than what the Bible has written in it and what the church has taught. Not believing that faith in Jesus Christ is necessary for salvation, and a lack of understanding that Jesus rose from the dead. \" Is there a relationship between frequency of church attendance and the level of understanding of basic Christian doctrine?\" A null hypothesis for the study would show being present in church services, has no positive outcome on understanding the basic Christian doctrine on college freshman. A research hypothesis could be, the freshmen that went to church often understood the Christian Doctrine more than those who do not attend church on a regular basis. \"Our freshmen scored a 67 percent on the BASE exam, a failing grade\" (Quarles, 2011). Although, the freshmen did receive a failing grade I think the percentage would be lower if the students did not attend church at all. The results of a study might show that individuals who are in regular attendance at church has more knowledge and understanding of the Christian doctrine, but not fully understand it. The study will have significant results with being in church, and having those doctrines broken down. Anyone can read a book, but it does not mean one will understand it. Studying the Bible outside of church will also play a major role. \"But all thing should be done decently and in order\" (1 Corinthians 14:40, NKJV). PSYC 355 LAB PROJECT PHASE 4 - RESULTS SECTION INSTRUCTIONS Now that you have analyzed your data and received feedback, it is time to write a current APAstyle Results section describing the outcome of your study. This Results section will contain more information than most sections you have been writing in the course. Here are the required elements (also covered in the \"Lab Project Overview and Instructions\" document): Were the results significant or not? Include a statistical statement in current APA format. Do these results lead you to accept or reject the null hypothesis? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the statistical test that was used? What are the characteristics of the sample or the data collection method that should be taken into consideration when interpreting these results that you would mention briefly to the reader? Remember that further interpretation should be saved for the discussion in Discussion Board Forum 2 (Lab Project Phase 5). Refer to \"Lab Project Overview and Instructions\" in addition to this document when completing this phase. Submit this assignment by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of Module/Week 7
