Overall, analyzing data is a complicated task. The correct processes have to be observed in order to achieve a desired outcome. Those process have to be analyzed at least 6 times in order to be used during an attrition project. Additional external and internal factors will be considered also. A key factor that is not examined during student attrition projects is teacher attrition. Teachers are the "center piece" to this puzzle of known pieces. Thier able to change the classroom dynamic can change a student entire experience in a neutral environment. For this reason, I am opposed to student retention analysis that do not include faculty and staff. Little attention has been paid to role of the faculty in this specific mission or to the corresponding characteristics of teaching, teacher-student interactions, and connection to student affairs activities that lead to students' long-term engagement, to their academic success, and ultimately to graduation (Sterling, 2018). My suggestion to impact student attrition is focused on the members within the institution. All of the faculty and staff would align with similar teaching methods. They would all cover topics that create a positive and inclusive course climate, fostering a community of learners, increasing engagement and students' interactions, activating connections with culturally relevant material, reinforcing self-efficacy with growth mindset and mental toughness techniques, improving lectures by building in meaningful educational activities, designing reading and writing assignments for stimulating deep learning and critical thinking, and making grade and assessment choices that can promote learning. This may seem a drastic however, when all of the faculty and staff work in the same direction, it reduces the student ability to discredit the institution. One time, One fight
