Dear Tutor, I am seeking the assistance of someone with an expertise in Human resources in the janitorial industry and is familiar with Hackman and Oldham's Job Characteristics Model (JCM). Basically what I need to do is reflect the role , (in this case a janitor or cleaner at a shopping mall or place of business ) and:
1) Analysis your job's current 'job design' by comparing it to the elements of Hackman and Oldham's job characteristics model (JCM) discussed in Topic 4. This evaluation forces you to assess how much the JCM dimensions are present in your job.
2) Recommend (to your manager) a least two (2) ways in which you think your job's design and job outcomes, could be improved using JCM and/or other job redesign approaches
I also need help addressing points 1 and 2, ( listed above) to help associate aspects of it with the JCM.
The assistance I ask form a tutor is how to structure my discussion, what I should include, and if possible some insight into how janitor/cleaning roles work, if they have any knowledge in the area.
