Definition: If x* is the actual value of something and is an estimate recall that: error = absolute error = 12* 7 percentage error = absolute error/actual = 7. 1. (50 points) This question is to be solved by hand on paper. The instructor prefers (for your own good) that you use a simple calculator instead of anything else that accepts long expressions but has no way of enforcing that. The file you are going to upload has to be in question1.pdf format. The instructor advises you to use "Microsoft Lens on your smart phone to generate that pdf. Wrong file formats get -20pts!! Disoriented images in any format gets an extra -10pts!! Consider the function f(x) = 27-2 1, notice that it has a single root at x = 2. Apply 5 iterations each for Newton's, Bisection, Secant and False-Position methods. Let a = 0 and b = 3 in Bisection, secant and False position methods. Take co = 1.5 for Newton's method. At each iteration also specify the absolute error and percentage error. Refer to our lecture videos to see my preferred way to write these iterations. At the end, write a single paragraph comparing the results that you have obtained. Did the results match with your general expectations out of these methods? Did anything unexpected occur during the application? etc
