Descartes says that "in order to find a secure foundation for knowledge", he must "DEMOLISH the overall structure" of his "beliefs and start over again." He systematically doubts everything that is not clearly true in order to find a foundation for certainty. Do you agree that this is a necessary strategy in order to arrive at truth? Why or why not?
