• Describes one theory of child development for each of the PILES developmental domains (total of four theories):
• Physical (e.g., Gesell, Gallahue, or McGraw)
• Intellectual (e.g., Piaget, Vygotsky, or Dweck)
• Language (e.g., Skinner, Chomsky, Piaget, or Vygotsky)
• Emotional/Social (e.g., Erikson, Havighurst, Kohlberg, Gilligan, Noddings, or Damon)
• Explains how each selected theory can be used to support the development and learning of children 5 to 8 years old.
