Description:

Imagine that you are asked by a global healthcare company to write a proposal where you describe which features a state-of-the-art Intelligent Hospital should have. Justify your choices by explaining why a particular technology is needed, which technologies would support/implement such features, and discuss the (potential) drawbacks of such features both from a technological and an ethical perspective (e.g., costs, high volume of internet traffic, privacy, etc.).

The required assignment format is a (scientific) short paper (3500 words +/-10%)

Format:

The structure will be discussed and explained in class, but in short is as follows:

TITLE (followed by your name in the next line)

Abstract (or synopsis): a very succinct summary of no more than 80-100 words about what you will discuss.

Introduction: Description of the problem at hand, why the problem is of interest/is important, and a very short description of what is included in each of the sub-sections.

Main: Describe which features every AI hospital should have (e.g., face recognition). Justify and motivate each of your choices, for instance, by emphasising/describing how a given feature will be beneficial to the hospital, why it will be needed/necessary. Moreover, link each feature to the AI technology which will support/implement it (e.g.,machine learning for face recognition), and consider possible drawbacks (both from a technological perspective, as well as an ethical/moral perspective).
