Description In Week 3 we discussed different delivery options for CMS (Open Source, Commercial, Saas and Build Your Own). In Discussion #2 we discussed the advantage of building your own system. In Week 4 we have meet the CMS team (Editors, Site Planners, Developers, etc.). In this assignment, we are going to combine elements from both weeks to get your recommendations for the scenarios below. Each student has been assigned a different scenario (below) to complete an evaluation on how they would select the correct CMS system. Review your assigned scenario and then follow the directions below. Topic: "Crowd-Sourced Research" Instructions: 1. Abstract The abstract summarizes the assignment. Abstracts do not add any new information that is not discussed in the document. One paragraph, single spaced. Write this section last. (Approx. 75-150 words) 2. Introduction Introduce the topic and outline the rest of the document. (Approx. 12 page) 3. Search Process Include your recommendations if you were a consultant for that organization on how you would start the search process. E.g. would you start by researching software, would you look to hire an integrator or would you look into a selection consultant. This should include research to support your argument. (Approx. 1/2 page) CMS Solution . Identify the CMS delivery type of that you scenario would use (Open Source, Commercial, Saas or Build Your Own). Explain why this solution would be best for your scenario. Use research to support your argument. (Approx. 12-1 page) 5. Team Building Using the CMS team member roles, determine who will be each team member (Editors, Site Planners, Developers, etc.) and what they are responsible for. If there are not enough team members, make up some team members up or combine team members into multiple roles.
