Scenario

Welcome to your co$-$op position with the city! For your Co$-$op placement, you have been asked to choose a city from the list of Canadian cities provided in the Research Project: Exploring New Cities learning moduleOpens in a new tab.

NOTE: Each student must choose a different city by following the instructions provided in the learning module. Once you have chosen a city, sign up for that city in the group's forum. If your chosen city is no longer available, please choose a different city. Record your choice so you do not forget.

For this Case Study, in your $\text{'}$co$-$op placement' you have been assigned to work with your city$$s Community Engagement Committee. The city has released a request for proposal $($RFP$)$ looking for ideas to help residents of the city better access resources and services available to them. The end result will be a formal report that will be shared on the city's website. But first, you will be helping the Community Engagement Committee develop an internal proposal for the city explaining your ideas and asking for permission to move forward.

The RFP focuses on ensuring all residents receive the information they need to make valuable and informed decisions and become engaged with all the city has to offer for residents' family, work, hobbies, and homes.

Your Task

The request for proposal $($RFP$)$ indicates a need for research on the topics $($below$)$ deemed essential to residents. The RFP details the need for a research report exploring one of these topics. Choose a topic from the following list as the focus of your research report for your selected city.

Visit your city$$s website and explore the topic you chose. Learn what the city has to offer and include details in your proposal. Be sure to properly document this borrowed information by including in$-$text citations in the proposal and a complete reference at the end of your proposal.
