Initially, the GREEN light of the main street (SN) is ON. When there are no vehicles triggering an inductive non-contact sensor on the main street and a vehicle on the side street triggers a sensor (use as a NO switch in the PLC program), the light sequence changes. For the main street, the YELLOW light turns ON for 3 seconds, and then the RED light turns ON for 10 seconds. During this period, the cars driving on the side street (EW) can go through the intersection (GREEN light ON for 7 seconds and YELLOW light on for 3 seconds). Then, the system resets, and the sequence is repeated.
