Designing an Entity Relationship Diagram

Design an E-R Diagram based on the following criteria:

- 4 attributes per entity

- At least one 1:1 relationship

- At least one 1:N relationship

- At least one N:M relationship

- At least one (M-M) relationship

- At least one (M-O) relationship

- At least one (O-O) relationship

- At least one Strong-Weak (ID-Dependent/ID-Independent) relationship

- At least one Sub-type/Super-type relationship

- Label all diagrams following standard E-R Model rules: Entities, Attributes, Relationships

The project is defined as: Many colleges and universities have the option of on campus housing for the attending students. This project is focused on that housing. It is obvious that many students will be living on campus. The housing options have different rooms for the accommodation of the students, where more than one student can live. Every room is assigned with various types of furniture so that students can spend time there if they want. There are various employees in the student housing facility who work in the cafeteria and maintenance. Each student should submit his or her fees on time so that they can have access to all the facilities amenities. They can take a loan to assist in paying these fees. For the dining options the housing management offers a cafeteria space so that students have convenient access to food. It is also possible for the students to have visitors, these visitors can stay with the student or even book their own room for extended visits, such as holidays.

The E-R Diagram has various entities, such as: Housing, Students, Fees, Room, Furniture, Cafeteria, Housing Employee, Visitors, Guest, etc.
