Designing Payroll System for N Auto Services:

N Auto services operates in south west region of US and it has 16 service center in various locations. HR department wants you to design data model for their payroll system.

Brief overview of business requirement:

They have eight categories of jobs and each has different pay structure. Company provides health plan for employees and dependents Salary should be paid as per States and county rules and regulation. Extra hours should be stored and paid as per regulations of the State. Employee Identification should verified before on-boarding the employees. Data Must be stored for 7 years even employee leaves the company.

Expected Results in Assignment:

Section 1: Brief description of the problem. ( What is being asked and its purpose)

Section 2: Business Rules, Come up with minimum of 25 business rules/Questions.

Section 3: Conceptual Design as per Chens Model

Section 4: Logical Model - ERD diagram with minimum of 10 entities and its relationship
