Detail of the task The coursework consists of two main parts in which, you need to demonstrate your understanding of software engineering principles and your expertise in research and providing a report. You are encouraged to propose a project idea of your own that is a Software Engineering development task. If you are in any doubt about this, contact your module leader or you can consult with your personal tutor. You should first propose a project idea and consult with your module leader to ensure that it is a suitable development project. As you are not supposed to implement the project, try to find a project which includes significant academic content, which is relevant to software engineering. You will be required to work on a problem that demonstrates your understanding of all concepts that you learned from this module in 6 chapters: Chapter 1: Introduction (3-5 pages) - Introduction: the importance of the work and motivation of selecting this project. - Problem statement: the problem that you are going to address by developing this project. Here is the issue that motivated you to this project. - Aim: in one paragraph directly mention the aim of your project - Objectives: Highlight 3-6 objectives of your project development in bullet points - Type of project: You are required to discuss which type of software system(s) your project is to develop. Chapter 2: Specification (2-5 pages) In this chapter, you need to check some similar works and discuss them. At least 5-10 citations in different categories are needed. Then you should clearly express the specification of your project in detail. It would be good if you could compare your project with an existing one and highlight why yours will be better. Chapter 3: Requirements and Methodology In this chapter, you are required to draw an activity diagram - Research Framework and visualise step by step the tasks in your work including all your objectives. You are required to explain each step and justify your software processes. Different types of requirements can be classified and discussed in this chapter. Chapter 4: Design In this chapter, you are required to design and model the project using Visio or similar software. You can use www.draw.io if you have no access to Visio. All required types of diagrams (Class diagram, Sequence diagram, Use case diagram,... ) should be discussed in this chapter. Chapter 5: Testing and Evaluation In this chapter, you can consider you have implemented the project (implementation is optional) discuss which types of testings and evaluations are appropriate to your project, and state the reasons. Chapter 6: Conclusion and Future works In this chapter you are required to discuss how you achieved the objectives and conclude your report. Moreover, you are required to suggest some future works in which one of them will be the implementation
