Determine what will be automated when, why and how. Define the functional areas (i.e., HR, Sales & Marketing, Finance & Accounting, customer Service, etc.) in your company that will be impacted in your business strategic plan. Create a current state (Year 1) view that shows each functional areas and their associated business processes. Overall, you should show about 40 business processes (BPs) to be used by the company and the enterprise application packages (EAPs) that will automate the business processes (i.e., ERP, SCM, ECM, etc.). This should be done as a matrix where are rows are segmented into functional areas and their respective business processes and EAPs are provided in the columns. Be sure to align your Business-Application Process Map/Matrix to your strategy implementation approach and timeline outlined in Part A
