Note: The textbook contains an example project and steps to complete the schedule at the end of Chapters 3, 7, 8 & 9. You may find it helpful to refer to or complete these exercises prior to completing this assignment. There is also a link to video tutorials in the Supplemental Resources post.

Instructions:
- Using the data provided in the attached MS Excel file, create the project schedule in MS Project.
- Create new project in MS Project.
- Set the title of the project to Marketing Project. Make sure you are the author. Set the start date to todays date. (Ch 3)
- Copy and paste or type in the activities as listed in the Excel file.
- Add the WBS column to the Gantt view (Ch. 7)
- Create the WBS structure by creating summary tasks (Ch 7)
- Add project summary task (Ch 3)
- Add Durations per the Excel file (Ch 8) Note: Make sure you set the duration to Weeks!
- Set the Timescale to Weeks
- Add Predecessors per the Excel file (Ch 8)
- Identify the critical path (Ch 8)
- Add resources per the Excel file. Chapter 9 covers this, but the easiest way to do this is simply to type the names in the Resource Names column.
- Using the Resource Sheet (Ch 9), add a Std. Rate and an Ovt. rate for each resource. (You choose the rates.)
- Return to the Ganttchart page.
- Use the Split View to show both the Gantt chart with critical path and resource graph or resource usage.
- Save your MS Project file.
- Using your own MS Project file, create a Word document and answer the following questions:
- Which tasks are on the critical path?
- Which resources are overloaded?
- Briefly explain two ways you might resolve the overloads.
- What is the estimated cost of your project?
- Submit both documents to the assignment link.
