Developing an OB model

Review Figure 1-1, read the section called "an integrative model of OB", and briefly respond to the following questions.

Explain what input variables (independent; red ovals),process (blue ovals), and output (dependent; green ovals) refer to in an OB model.

Pay attention to the fact that there are unidirectional arrows between the ovals in the figure. Understand that these arrows are used to indicate that these concepts are theoretically linked to each other. Give an example discussing how and why an input variable may 'cause' a process one, which then may lead to individual outcomes of job performance and organizational commitment.

What is level of analysis in OB research? Explain what individual, group, and organizational levels mean and give an example for each.
