Directions to Part I:

1. Describe and analyze two different ways that a project manager might monitor a project (focus on communication for this discussion; you will be focusing on tools in Discussion 2).
2. Explain when the monitoring might be required, how often and how it would be delivered (email, meeting, in person).
3. Required in the discussion
   • Formal and informal communication methods.
   • Human elements.
   • A realistic example in your post.

Directions to Part II:

1. Develop an initial post that identifies two project management control tools
   • At most, one from the Meredith et al text and one (or both) from your personal research.
   • The tools can be formulas, software, reports, meeting types, review forms, etc.
2. In your description of the tool and its application for project monitoring and control, include both a positive and negative attribute of the tool.
