Configure Switch Ports

You are in the process of configuring the switch ports on the Sidon 1 switch. Devices are currently attached to the switch as shown in Diagram 3.

Execute this lab according to the following guidelines:

1. You will soon add an older PC to switch port Fa0/6 that uses 10BaseT Ethernet. Manually configure the switch port to use 10 Mbps.
2. You will be adding a hub to switch port Fa0/7 that will be used for a lab for developers. Manually configure the switch port to use half-duplex communications.
3. Make sure that ports Fa0/6 and Fa0/7 are enabled and can be used. Be aware that you have not yet connected devices to those ports.
4. Disable all unused interfaces:
   1. Fa0/4 and Fa0/5
   2. Fa0/8 through Fa0/23
   3. Gi0/1 and Gi0/2
5. Verify that all remaining ports that are in use are configured to automatically detect speed and duplex settings and are enabled.
6. Use the necessary show commands to review the existing configuration and correct any problems that you find.
7. Save your changes to the startup-config file.

Create VLANs

You would like to use VLANs to create workgroups based on job function.

Execute this lab according to the following guidelines:

1. Create the following VLANs and assign port membership as follows:
