Discuss a standard or set of standards you may have encountered at work, in school, as a customer, etc., and how those standards are used to improve a function. For example, the government has established speed limits, which are a form of a standard speed that should be maintained to provide for a safe environment. Another example, would be the height requirements to ride a roller coaster, again for safety concerns. Then explain to your classmates how those standards are maintained, measured (how there could be variances), and possibly improved.
