Discuss experiences people have or could have to fulfill the four areas Malat indicates employers would like to have college graduates experience: (1) experience solving problems with people whose views differ from your own, (2) learning about ethical issues and public debates important in your field, (3) direct experience working with others and solving problems important in your community, and (4) learning about societies and cultures outside of the U.S., as well as global issues. This activity/reflection should get us thinking about the notion that our undergraduate degree will open many doors, but must be combined with high-quality experiences to help people stand out among other candidates in a highly competitive job market
