ASSUME WORKSAFE BC RULES DO NOT APPLY TO THIS SITUATION. Wild Zoo is a zoo located in Coquitlam, British Columbia. Ivan Watson is the manager of the zoo. Although he has numerous excellent employees, he is worried about the work performance of one of his workers: a woman named Jane. One Saturday afternoon, Mr. Watson was very surprised to see Jane throwing a pitchfork like a javelin (spear) in an area where there were both animals and children. Luckily, no one was hurt when the javelin landed. a Watson yelled at Jane to get busy and feed the birds so that the birds would come closer to the children. Jane opened a new sealed bag of feed and threw some to the birds. It happened that the manufacturer of the feed, ordered by Watson, had accidentally mixed some caustic (burning) substance with the feed, so that later in the day Jane's hand began to blister and burn badly. Jane then proceeded to rub her eyes, causing burning and damage to her eyes. Jane sued Watson for negligence because of the burns she suffered.
