On the other hand. the industry publication offers a more promotional overview. aiming to highlight the significance of the shipping industry while stressing the urgency of addressing workforce challenges. By using a persuasive tone, the article captures the need for combined efforts among industry stakeholders to address the workforce 1ssues and ensure an adequate supply of seafarers to support the expanding needs of the shipping industry. It highlights the increasing demand for seafarers through the projected growth m the global fleet and warns of an impending shortage of qualified seafarers. The differences in writing style, tone. and purpose are to be expected. as academic articles and industry publications serve different audiences and purposes. The academic article is written for professtionals and scholars within the maritime industry. and it aims to provide an in-depth analysis of the topic, whereas the industry publication caters to a broader audience and is intended to raise awareness of the imminent shortage of seafarers
