The government of the day with a 49-14 majority in the House of Representatives has proposed, as part of its clearing of back-log cases to amend the current legislation by passing a law to throw out some of the long outstanding cases. The Constitution is a written source of law and is considered to be of optimum supremacy; however, what is the role of legislation and its power in terms of bridging that supremacy.
