Discussion: Research Proposal 8 12 If you could research any of ONE of the following topics, what topic would you want to know more about? Poverty, the environment ( such as: sustainability, noise, carbon footprint etc), education (K-12 or higher education, gender/gender roles, , drug use/abuse (prescription), drug use/abuse (non- prescription), prostitution, poverty, gentrification, mental health issues (be specific on this one) food insecurity or housing insecurity. Discuss the following: . WHAT is your topic of interest & your driving question--Social Problem . HOW would you conduct your research (what steps would work best in the scientific method). . What challenges would you encounter (money, logistics, time). . Ethical concerns: what are some ethical responsibilities (think code of ethics) . Address researcher bias either you as the researcher OR the sources you are reviewing . Post 1 original response (250 words) and respond/reply to 1 or 2 classmates' posts (150-200 words) . Use/apply terms from your text , chapter 2. Be sure to include your specific topic, the how & what. Include 3 resources you might use (annotated bibliography) in addition to your text.
